Kelly Holst, DEN ’18, EDU ’23
Assistant Professor of Restorative Dentistry
Holst is the first Temple professor to be awarded the Enid A. Neidle Scholar-in-residence Program from the American Dental Education Association. Her research will examine why women are underrepresented as deans of U.S. dental schools in an effort to change outcomes for women in dentistry.

Antonio Matias Buenga
Nursing Student
Buenga came from Angola with a dream of earning a college degree in the U.S. Without any prior knowledge of the language, he entered Temple’s Center for American Language and Culture in 2021 to learn English. After many obstacles and an unwavering determination, he was accepted into Temple’s nursing program in the fall of 2023.
